Ariana Grande magically brightened up one young fan’s world with some special Wicked-themed gifts.
Influencer Brie Bird, 9, documents her stage 4 cancer journey on social media, and on Thursday, Aug. 7, she posted a video sharing that she received mail from her “favorite person in the whole wide world.” Before opening the two packages from Grande, 32. Bird pointed out her pink dress to match her Glinda Funko Pop doll.
The young content creator opened up the boxes to reveal what the actress sent: a pink tumbler cup and several plush items based on characters from Wicked and The Wizard of Oz, like the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, Elphaba, the Wizard of Oz, the Scarecrow. Grande packed up two types of Glinda toys, a Squishmallow pillow and a stuffed bunny clothed in one of the Good Witch’s signature frocks.
Bird also opened up a box of OPI nail polish inspired by the movie-musical, two bold pink zip-up bags, a tote, some makeup from Grande’s beauty brand R.E.M. and a bottle of Grande’s Cloud Perfume.
“Thank you so, so, so, so much, Ariana Grande. I love everything in the package that you got, especially the Squishmallows and everything else. And I love that perfume, by the way,” Bird said to her camera.
The video concluded with a surprise message from the “Thank U, Next” singer, where she said that she heard about Bird’s love of Wicked and Glinda and was “inspired to put together this little care package.”
Much like Bird, Grande said her “personal favorite” part of the gift was the collection of Squishmallows. “They’re very comfy and very cute,” she added.
