Andy Cohen’s son Ben went as his favorite character from Star Wars for Halloween this year.
The Bravo personality, 57, shared a few photos on his Instagram Stories, which featured his 6-year-old son Ben’s Halloween costume. Cohen’s son posed on their outdoor balcony and could be seen dressed as Darth Vader for the spooky holiday.
“Watch out, New York City!!!!” Cohen wrote over the photo. “Happy Halloween!”
A second photo showed Ben sitting inside the family’s apartment as his sister Lucy, 3, opened a window shade. He stared into the camera as Cohen snapped his photo.

Ben’s choice of Halloween costume comes a few months after he had a sassy response to his dad trying to explain the ending of Star Wars to him. In honor of Star Wars Day on May 4, Cohen and his son Ben watched 1983’s original-trilogy finale Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, after which the 6-year-old had thoughts about how the franchise ended.
“The bad guy died,” Cohen said of the villainous Darth Vader in his conversation with an offscreen Ben, shared in a video on Cohen’s Instagram grid.
“Yes, that’s what I’m talking about, thank you!” came Ben’s sassy reply.
“So why are you upset about that? Because he died?” replied the father of two, to which his son retorted, “Yes. And he’s one of my favorite characters in Star Wars, thank you.”
Cohen pressed, “But when he died, he was freed by Luke. Do you understand that? He wasn’t bad anymore, which is the most important thing.”
“Ugh,” Ben could be heard saying. “Well it’s really important!” Cohen said. “Darth Vader, he did die, but he died happy. And he didn’t kill his son and his son didn’t kill him.”
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host captioned his post, “He hated the ending! #MayTheFourthBeWithYou.”
Star Wars isn’t the only franchise Ben has thoughts about. Cohen recently revealed that his son also has some choice opinions about Frozen — and the dad of two shared them with one of the franchise’s stars, Kristen Bell.
Before interviewing Bell and the rest of her Nobody Wants This cast on RadioAndy, Cohen told the actress, who voices Ana in the mega-popular Disney franchise, that his son Ben doesn’t like one of film’s major characters.
“My son hates Elsa so much. So he is the biggest Ana fan. It is so clear to him that Elsa is horrible,” Cohen said about Ben in a clip shared to Instagram.
“I’ve never heard those words,” Bell joked in response.
“I need you to know,” Cohen continued, prompting Bell to ask, “Wait, why is she horrible?”
