TLC star Amy Slaton didn’t choose her sister, Tammy Slaton, to be her maid of honor.
Amy, 38, married Brian Lovvorn in an “old-timey” and “Victorian” wedding at Talbott Tavern, a supposedly haunted historic restaurant and inn in Bardstown, Ky., on Halloween, one year after getting engaged inside the padded room of a haunted house. Standing by the bride’s side as her maid of honor was her “extraordinary friend” Ollisha Davis.
Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of her intimate ceremony, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star admitted that determining who would be in her wedding party was difficult.

“I deeply cherished the journey of wedding planning, embracing the art and location hunting, but selecting bridesmaids and groomsmen proved to be a profound challenge,” Amy said. “Yet I intuitively knew that my extraordinary friend Ollisha (Lee Lee) would graciously accept the esteemed honor of being my maid of honor, even before I extended the heartfelt invitation.”
Davis, whose Instagram and TikTok accounts are private, is a public transportation driver and dispatcher based on her bio. The “loving mother and G-mama” has been shouted out on Amy and her siblings’ various social media platforms multiple times.
In June on Instagram, Amy dedicated one of her art pieces to her friend, writing “D is for my best friend Ollisha Davis” to describe a blue painting with a white D on it.
Back in June 2024, Amy’s older sister, Amanda Halterman, shared a sweet selfie with Davis on TikTok, and tagged her and Amy before captioning the post, “Thanks for always being there. Supporting us we love you girl! Sunday diner was fire.” In a group photo with Amy and Davis posted that same month and year on TikTok, Halterman wrote, “So thankful for friends that have become family!!”

The Halloween wedding was everything Amy had ever hoped for.
“My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” she told PEOPLE. “I’m getting my happily ever after!”
When Amy spoke to PEOPLE in May after announcing her engagement, she shared that Tammy, 39, was apprehensive about the news because Lovvorn proposed after only five months of dating.
“She really felt like we were rushing it,” Amy said at the time.

Tammy was the maid of honor at Amy’s 2019 wedding to her ex-husband Michael Halterman. The former couple split in 2023 and share sons Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 3.
When Tammy asked Amy to be her maid of honor and help with wedding planning for her marriage to Caleb Willingham — whose death was announced on July 1, 2023 — Amy initially hesitated, citing “a lot going on” with her young children, but she eventually agreed to be in her bridal party and help with planning, as documented on their hit TLC show.
Amy’s spooky ceremony was officiated by her friend, Billy, who also officiated Tammy and Willingham’s wedding in 2022 at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
