Amy Schumer had an unexpected photobomber during her latest at-home photo shoot.
On Saturday, Nov. 29, the 44-year-old comedian shared a series of snapshots on Instagram of herself sitting on a staircase while wearing a yellow minidress with bows and ruffle detailing lining the hem. In the third photo, her 6-year-old son, Gene David — whom she shares with husband Chris Fischer — can be seen playfully jumping into the frame above her.
“Trying to go to the party but someone won’t go to bed,” Schumer quipped in the caption.
In another Instagram photo shared moments later, Gene appeared to be bolting upstairs while Schumer posed for the camera — though his face was covered by a yellow heart emoji holding up peace signs.

Schumer previously told PEOPLE that she wouldn’t be surprised if her son followed in her comedic footsteps.
“He’s really funny,” she said in February. “I don’t know what his story is going to be, but he loves doing stunts and making people laugh.”
As for what Gene thinks of her fame? The Trainwreck actress explained during a January episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast that her son simply doesn’t care that his mother is a household name.
“It’s like the same with my son or my husband,” Schumer said. “It’s like, ‘You’re mom.’ ”

In addition to spending time with her son and posing for stylish photos, the I Feel Pretty star has also been candid about her health journey amid her endometriosis and Cushing syndrome diagnoses.
“I’m feeling strong and like myself,” Schumer wrote in October alongside a since-deleted Instagram carousel of herself wearing a black and white Valentino dress. “I’m enjoying how I look, but man it is all about how you feel. I’m so grateful to be pain free thanks to my trainer Mona at reload who has helped strengthen me since my back surgery and @seckinmd for lifting all the endometriosis’ out of my body.”
“I got all dressed up and ready to go to my friends 50th and then decided I wasn’t feeling up to it and wanted to stay home with my little guy,” she added at the time. “Thanks for all the love. Sending it right back 😍.”
