NEED TO KNOW
It’s not easy for Alex Warren to not see his wife, Kouvr Annon, on a daily basis.
The “Ordinary” singer-songwriter’s career exploded over the past year, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. Ahead of his Little Orphan Alex Live tour kicking off in May 2026, he’s opening up about how his life has changed and why learning to spend time away from Annon hasn’t been easy.
“The travel’s the biggest change for sure. I’m not used to being away from my wife this much,” Warren, 25, tells PEOPLE at the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in N.Y.C. on Friday, Dec. 12. “I’m not used to being away from my house. I’m a huge homebody.”

Warren and Annon met in 2018 and got married in June 2024. They spent the bulk of that time physically together, so he’s now “trying to get used to” being apart from her.
“We were together for five years every single day, and then all of a sudden, you know, I’m gone eight months out of the year,” he says. “She comes with me a lot. But it’s definitely been a learning curve, for sure.”
In a July interview with PEOPLE, Warren spoke about his relationship with Annon — which inspired his hit song, “Ordinary.”
“I’ve been trying my best to just be a present husband. With the constant s— changing and constant, you know, ‘Oh, hey, you have a week off,’ and then all of a sudden that week’s filled with something, and you’re traveling to Europe,” he said at the time.
“There’s a lot of parts where you’re kind of like, ‘Oh, dang, we had a lot of stuff planned, but we have to put on the back burner for later in the year,'” added Warren.

He also spoke about feeling “really lucky” that Annon is “super understanding” of his career, which he’s “dreamed about since I was a kid.”
“It’s been a huge learning curve,” continued Warren. “So I think the thing that people don’t see is, you know, having a strong relationship and also a flourishing career where you’re required to be gone for so long is really difficult. We’re able to work through it really well with compromise.”
