NEED TO KNOW
Addison Rae has been living her truth.
The pop star, 25, embarked on her first tour in August in support of her debut album Addison, taking her hits “Diet Pepsi,” “Headphones,” and more across Europe, North America and now Australia. Each and every time, she’s delivered something entirely new — especially with her glam.
“Glam on tour is ever-changing for me,” the TikTok star turned singer tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Sometimes it’s the more glitter the better, other times it’s just [makeup on the] lips and cheeks.”
Rae, who just secured her first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, looks to her must-have Armani Beauty products to get her dolled up for the show (fans who’ve been keeping up with her on TikTok know that she keeps her staples close when getting ready backstage).

For complexion, Rae applies the Luminous Silk Foundation and the complementing concealer (both in the shade 5.25) and sheers her coverage with a beauty blender. Her signature blushed look is achieved with a healthy swipe of the Luminous Silk Cheek Tint in Delicate Mauve (a dreamy rosy hue) and Magnetic Mauve (a bright pink for a bold flush of color) on the apples of her cheeks and her lips. To make her look really pop, she goes in with the Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Shade in a khaki green shade and a layer of the Vertigo Lift Mascara.

When it comes to her wardrobe — which has included everything from tutu gowns and latex lingerie to very showgirl-adjacent bedazzled sets — Rae tells PEOPLE that she loves to tell a story while maintaining an element of surprise. “I love mix and matching and feeling that every night can be a little different.”
“I chase whatever spark is ignited, sometimes without knowing where I’ll end up. It can start with a color, or fabric, even a feeling. My fashion can also influence my music,” she adds. “Clothes are mind control. If I don’t feel beautiful, sometimes I’ll dress more glamorously or feminine in hopes that it convinces me that I am. Other times, I just wear what’s comfortable or what matches my mood.”
What also centers Rae is some of the grounding rituals she practices before and after a show. In the moments she gears up for meeting her fans onstage, she partakes in a sound bath, stretches and sips on espresso tonics — not diet pepsi (shocking, we know!). As for her after-show routine, that’s simple: “eat, sleep” and repeat!
