It was a family affair at the premiere of Alex vs. A-Rod, the new documentary series about the star baseball pro’s life and career.
Alex Rodriguez walked the red carpet with his daughters, Natasha, 20, and Ella, 17. On the carpet, Rodriguez, 50, wore a classic black suit paired with a white dress shirt and pocket square. Natasha opted for a brown strapless leather maxi dress, while her younger sister, Ella, wore a gray-and-white pinstripe blazer and skirt paired with a simple black shirt. Rodriguez’s mom, Lourdes Navarro, was also in attendance to support her son.
Rodriguez shares his two daughters with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. The former couple wed in 2002 and had a difficult divorce in 2008.

“Over the years, Alex has been a great father. The couple’s interactions have gotten better over the years, and they ended up co-parenting in a very positive way for all,” a source told PEOPLE in June 2021.
“They have a good relationship now, having put their kids ahead of everything else,” the insider added of the exes.
Alex vs. A-Rod will premiere on HBO on Friday, Nov. 6, and will be available to stream on HBO Max. The series will explore the prominent MLB star’s complicated relationship with public life. Among those featured in the documentary series are baseball Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr.; former MLB manager Lou Piniella, Scurtis, and, of course, Roderiguez’s daughters, Natasha and Ella.

“A-Rod is a Shakespearean figure. He’s one of the greatest players who has ever played. But he also was an incredibly flawed individual,” a commentator said in the preview clip of the documentary released in October.

Alex vs. A-Rod explores the “dualities” of Rodriguez, “from the pinnacle of athletic success to the depths of scandal,” including his high-profile suspension for performance-enhancing drug use in 2014, a synopsis explained.
According to a summary for the docuseries, the project sees Rodriguez using the “benefit of hindsight and years of intense self-examination” to confront his personal struggles and controversies that “shaped his journey from ‘Alex,’ a baseball prodigy abandoned by his father, to ‘A-Rod,’ the decorated MLB superstar driven by a relentless pursuit of greatness, no matter the cost.”
