NEED TO KNOW
Wedding Crashers became a classic comedy when it hit theaters 20 years ago on July 15, 2005.
The film stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as lifelong friends, John Beckwith and Jeremy Grey, who pick up women by crashing weddings together. However, their playboy lives take a turn when they attend the Cleary family wedding and meet sisters Claire and Gloria, played by Rachel McAdams and Isla Fisher.
As Wilson’s character tries to pursue McAdams’ character, he faces several obstacles along the way — including her boyfriend, Sack Lodge, played by Bradley Cooper. The film also stars Christopher Walken as Secretary William Cleary and Jane Seymour as Kathleen Cleary, the parents of Claire and Gloria. Will Ferrell also makes a brief cameo as Chazz Reinhold, the original wedding crasher who taught John and Jeremy everything they know.
In 2024, Vaughn reflected on the success of the comedy and teased that some of the stars have considered making a sequel.
“We just had a lot of fun. It was a good group of people,” he said on Good Morning America. Vaughn added of the possible sequel, “You know, it’s been close. They talked about it a few times. I think you just wanna make sure that if you are gonna do it, that there’s a great story.”
So, where is the cast of Wedding Crashers now? Here’s a look at what the stars have been up to 20 years after the film premiered.

Owen Wilson’s role as John Beckwith helped cement him as a comedy star. Both Wilson and Vaughn are members of the Frat Pack group of comedic actors, who are known for starring in several blockbuster comedies.
Wilson went on to act in a slew of successful films — including Marley and Me (2008), Midnight in Paris (2011), She’s Funny That Way (2014) and The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), among several others. He and Vaughn also acted together again in the 2013 comedy The Internship.
Although Wilson has a successful acting career, he has kept much of his private life out of the public eye. He is a father to three children: sons Ford (born in January 2011) and Finn (born in January 2014) and daughter Lyla (born in 2018).
He shares Ford with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell, Finn with Caroline Lindqvist and Lyla with ex-girlfriend Varunie Vongsvirates.

Vince Vaughn acted as Jeremy Grey in the hit 2005 film and has continued acting in a myriad of comedy films — such as The Break-Up (2006), Fred Claus (2007), Couples Retreat (2009) and The Dilemma (2011).
In addition to his roles in movies, Vaughn has also had leading turns on the shows Curb Your Enthusiasm, True Detective and Bad Monkey.
Off-screen, Vaughn has led a fairly private life. He married his wife, Kyla Weber, in 2010 after two years of dating. They became parents later that same year when they welcomed daughter Locklyn Kyla in December 2010 and later had son Vernon Lindsay in August 2013.

When Rachel McAdams played Wilson’s character’s love interest, Claire, in Wedding Crashers, she had just risen to fame with her roles in the romantic drama The Notebook and the teen comedy Mean Girls, both in 2004.
These iconic films proved to be just the beginning of her career, as McAdams went on to star in The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009), Midnight Paris (2011), The Vow (2012) and Spotlight (2015), which earned her an Academy Award nomination.
Throughout her successful career, McAdams has prioritized her privacy and kept much of her personal life out of the public eye. She has been in a relationship with screenwriter Jamie Linden since 2016, and they welcomed a son in 2018 and a daughter in 2020.
Isla Fisher as Gloria Cleary

Isla Fisher became a leading lady after portraying Gloria, who falls in love with Vaughn’s character, in Wedding Crashers. Fisher’s career only continued skyrocketing after the blockbuster, as she went on to act in the hit films Definitely, Maybe (2008), Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009) and Now You See Me (2013), among many others.
When she’s not acting, Fisher is a mother to two daughters and one son, who she shares with her ex-husband, Sacha Baron Cohen. The former couple married in 2010 but announced they had filed for divorce in April 2024. Fisher and Cohen finalized their divorce in June 2025.

Will Ferrell made a brief yet memorable cameo as Chazz Reinhold, the first wedding crasher who taught the best friends how to pick up women at weddings. Just like Vaughn and Wilson, Ferrell is also part of the Frat Pack and has starred in several comedy movies throughout his career.
Ferrell went on to star in Talladega Nights (2006), Blades of Glory (2007), Step Brothers (2008), The Other Guys (2010), Get Hard (2015) and Barbie (2023). In addition to acting, Ferrell has produced several films and television shows — including Succession, Dead to Me and Drunk History.
Off-camera, he’s been married to his wife, Viveca Paulin, since 2000. The couple share three sons together: Magnus (born in 2004), Mattias (welcomed in 2006) and Axel (born in 2010).
Christopher Walken as Secretary William Cleary

Christopher Walken was already an established actor when he starred as Secretary William, the father of Claire and Gloria. By the time he appeared in Wedding Crashers, he had already won an Academy Award for his performance in The Deer Hunter (1978).
He has continued acting in several films — including Hairspray (2007), Seven Psychopaths (2012), Percy (2020) and Dune: Part Two (2024). In 2022, he had a supporting role in the hit television show Severance and was nominated for an Emmy Award.
Meanwhile, off-screen, Walken has been married to his wife, Georgianne Thon, since 1969.
Bradley Cooper as Sack Lodge

When Bradley Cooper acted as Claire’s boyfriend Sack, he was a relatively unknown actor who had only worked on Wet Hot American Summer (2001). However, after starring in Wedding Crashers, he scored his breakthrough role in The Hangover (2009).
Cooper’s career quickly skyrocketed, and he went on to star in Limitless (2011), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013), American Sniper (2014) and A Star Is Born (2018). He began producing films, as well, including Joker (2019) and Nightmare Alley (2021).
In addition to his successful career, Cooper is a dad to daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, whom he welcomed with then-girlfriend Irina Shayk in 2017. He has been dating model Gigi Hadid since October 2023.
Jane Seymour as Kathleen Cleary

Jane Seymour had a decades-long acting career before starring as the Secretary’s wife and mother to his children, Kathleen. She is a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award winner for her several roles prior to Wedding Crashers.
After acting in the 2005 comedy, Seymour worked on Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011), Little Italy (2018), Friendsgiving (2020) and Irish Wish (2024). In addition to acting, she has also prioritized her nonprofit, the Open Hearts Foundation, and written several books.
Seymour was most recently romantically linked to musician John Zambetti. She is also a mom to six children: she shares stepdaughter Jenni, daughter Katherine and son Sean with ex-husband David Flynn and stepdaughter Kalen, twins John Stacy and Kristopher Steven with ex-husband James Keach.
