Nicole Curtis is documenting a recent scary flight experience that left her recovering from severe motion sickness.
In a Monday, Feb. 2, Instagram post, the Rehab Addict star, 49, said she boarded a tiny plane while traveling in Central America, and the terrifying ride had her “crying and praying” during the journey.
“Not sure what we are going to call this phase I’m in, but I ended up in Central America on a tiny little plane tonight,” Curtis wrote in the caption alongside a photo of her posing in front of the small aircraft. “I cried, I prayed, I took the Lord’s name in vain.”
Referring to the return of her HGTV show Rehab Addict, she added, “Shows are done – waiting for airdate announcement. (For the people that are gonna throw hate).”
After addressing some of her impatient fans, she admitted to her followers that she considers the flight to be one of the “craziest” things she’s ever done.
“And for the nice people – tell me, what’s the craziest thing on your life list ? This is tied with the night train across India for me,” she shared.
She concluded the caption by revealing that she was still recovering from the bumpy journey, and it even made her miss her next flight.
“Was supposed to be on another plane, but I’m horizontal til morning – motion sickness got me,” she said.
Included in the post was a short video clip of the plane ride, in which she appeared to be sitting directly behind the pilots. The nose of the aircraft can be seen aggressively swaying up and down as Curtis tries to keep the camera steady.

Curtis’ adventurous travels come after she teased that a return date for Rehab Addict would soon be announced.
The designer pulled the show’s ninth season off the air in July 2025 after just two episodes, and later revealed in October 2025 that she made the “executive decision” to shelve the rest of the season and recut the episodes.
In December, Curtis said the show would be returning to HGTV in a newsletter announcement sent out to fans via email. HGTV later confirmed to PEOPLE that the network “plans to air the remaining episodes of Rehab Addict Season 9 in Q1” of 2026 and that more details would be shared soon.
