NEED TO KNOW
Jacob Elordi is reacting to Margot Robbie’s recent Wuthering Heights-themed party and screening of the film with friends who had quite the reaction when he was onscreen.
The Frankenstein star, 28, was asked about his thoughts on the party on Jimmy Kimmy Live! — in which Robbie, 35, previously recalled her friends fawning over her costar and “screaming” whenever he was shown onscreen.
“She told a story about her friends who threw a bachelorette party for her character Cathy… and she said they were all — these 20 women — shrieking nonstop when they saw you on the screen,” host Jimmy Kimmel, 58, recalled. “She even said that if you had been at this event, they would have eaten you.”
Elordi laughed before saying, “Yeah, I don’t know. What do you say to that?”

Kimmel joked that the whole thing seemed “extreme” and “a little scary,” to which the Saltburn actor responded, “She’s intense, yeah.”
“[Margot] and her friends are intense… yeah, they’re good fun,” the actor added.
Robbie previously recounted the event on the Jan. 26 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! sharing that her friends threw her a fake bachelorette party for her character, Catherine Earnshaw, after exchanging jokes about it.
“…There was a moodboard. I was dressed in white corsets and lace, and they’re all dressed like mob wives in black lace and corsets. The theme, I think, was Victorian slutty,” she explained at the time.
The Barbie actress went on to share that she screened the film for her friends for the first time at the bachelorette party, which she described as “the most unhinged experience of my life.”
“It ended up being the craziest night ever, but the screening itself … 20 women were like frothing at the mouth,” she recalled. “They were like rabid dogs and they were a couple of drinks in already, and then the movie started and they were screaming so much.”

“… And when Jacob came on screen, I think it registered on the Richter scale; they screamed so loud,” Robbie added.

Elordi and Robbie star as doomed lovers Heathcliff and Catherine, respectively, in the new onscreen adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which is directed by Emerald Fennell. The film follows the two in a tale of jealousy, obsession, class divides and a cycle of revenge that haunts their families. The film is based on Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel.
Wuthering Heights will release in theaters on Feb. 13.
