NEED TO KNOW
It’s been nearly a decade since the first season of The Night Manager premiered, so there are quite a few new additions to the season 2 cast.
The Prime Video thriller series stars Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier turned hotel manager. Throughout the first season, which premiered in 2016, Pine does everything he can to take down arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie).
The second season, which premiered on Jan. 11, takes place eight years after the first season and after Pine believed that he’d “buried his past.” However, his world gets turned upside down one night when a “chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action and leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player,” a.k.a. Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva).
Calva, who’s the series’ new villain, is one of several new characters. Camila Morrone also appears in The Night Manager as Roxana Bolaños, while Indira Varma, Hayley Squires, Paul Chahidi and Kirby Howell-Baptiste make up the rest of the new season 2 cast.
In December 2025, Hiddleston told the BBC that he was “blown away” by the cast members and applauded them for giving their characters “an extra dimension in every conceivable aspect.”
Here’s everything to know about the new cast members and characters coming to The Night Manager season 2.

Calva took over as the primary antagonist in season 2 of The Night Manager. Calva portrays Teddy, a Colombian businessman and illegal arms dealer who has modeled his business and vicious army after Roper.
However, Teddy isn’t the average drug dealer criminal, as Hiddleston teased to the BBC.
“On the face of it, [he] is Pine’s antagonist, trading illegal weapons under the counter to create political and civic instability in Colombia,” he said. “Opposite to Pine and me, [Calva] is majestic, thoughtful and sensitive.”
Before the second season was released, Calva said being a part of the ensemble cast was an “amazing experience,” since he already admired may of them before filming.
“I feel lucky and proud to have worked with the cast. They have become like family,” Calvo told the BBC. “It’s been nine years since the first season, so some of the cast know each other very well, but they welcomed me like part of the family.”
Calva is a Mexican actor who previously received a Golden Globe nomination for his work on 2022’s Babylon. In addition the the black comedy drama, Calva is also known for his roles in Narcos: Mexico, Unstoppable and The Inmate.

Morrone takes center stage in The Night Manager as Roxana, a “businesswoman who reluctantly helps him infiltrate Teddy’s Colombian arms operation,” per her character’s description.
“Roxana is interesting, because on paper, one would expect her to be a certain way, but she’s unpredictable, resilient and brave,” Morrone told the BBC. “She’s only focused on self-preservation and her family. It’s very easy to put her in a femme fatale category, but what’s interesting about Roxana, and what I love about David Farr’s writing, is that she’s not anybody’s toy. She’s the smartest person in the room.”
Prior to joining the cast of The Night Manager, Morrone modeled for Victoria’s Secret and also acted in several movies — including Bukowski, Death Wish and Never Goin’ Back. She also starred in the hit Prime Video series Daisy Jones & the Six, which earned her an Emmy Award nomination.
