NEED TO KNOW
Perrie Edwards is a mom of two!
The Little Mix star and her partner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, both 32, have welcomed a second baby together, a girl. Edwards announced the happy news on Instagram on Saturday, Jan. 17, sharing a sweet black-and-white photo of her newborn daughter.
The photo shows the baby nestled against her mom’s chest as Edwards, Oxlade-Chamberlain and the couple’s 4-year-old son, Axel, each rest a hand on the new addition to their family.
Edwards revealed her daughter’s name in the post’s caption: Alanis Valentine.
Her Little Mix bandmates offered messages of congratulations in the comments. Jade Thirwall wrote, “So happy for you all ♥️. And can’t wait to meet her ✨.” Leigh-Anne Pinnock called the newborn a “perfect little angel” in her comment.
The English singer and the English soccer player, who welcomed son Axel on Aug. 21, 2021, first revealed they were expecting their second baby in September 2025.
“Guess what hunnies…” Edwards captioned an Instagram Reel at the time, adding a single red heart emoji.
Her black-and-white video began with her back toward the camera as she walked away, wearing a cropped T-shirt that read, “If he wanted to he would…” After she turned around, the front read, “…and he did.”
The clip was set to her song “If He Wanted to He Would (from the La La Room).”

Oxlade-Chamberlain was also included in the video as he entered the frame smiling and hugging the “Love Me Like You” singer. Before the sweet post ended, Axel joined his dad and mom, kissing her belly as the couple laughed.
Prior to the pregnancy reveal, Edwards was candid about her “traumatic” and “horrendous” miscarriage experiences.
During an August 2025 episode of the We Need to Talk podcast, she said she’d experienced multiple miscarriages both before and after Axel was born.
“I haven’t necessarily not shared it with people because I’m ashamed of it or anything,” Edwards said at the time. “It’s just that it’s such a personal thing to go through, and it’s really hard.”
The first time she had a miscarriage was very early on, and the second was after Axel while she was rehearsing for the last Little Mix tour, but chose to keep the news private due to how her first pregnancy went.
“So with this pregnancy, I remember being on tour and every night before a show, I kept bleeding,” Edwards explained. “I was, like, heavy bleeding. I remember sitting thinking, ‘This is it. I’ve lost the baby. It’s happening.’ ”
Doctors told her the baby was still alive, but had a “blood clot around the sac.”
For her 22-week scan, Edwards said it was the “worst day of my life — like horrendous” when she and Oxlade-Chamberlain lost the baby.
Speaking with Glamour in September 2025, she said “the whole experience was very traumatic.”

Ahead of the New Year, Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain gave a glimpse into their lives as parents-to-be (again) with festive holiday photos.
“Merry Christmas everyone! Excitement pumping through the family, amazing food, Christmas magic on repeat, house is now a pigsty, overstimulated, stayed in pj’s all day, Axels hair is a birds nest, I’m the size of a beach whale 🤰🏼, can’t consume any more chocolate if I tried, need fork lifting off the sofa… but my goodness I feel content and blessed,” Edwards captioned a family Instagram carousel on Dec. 25, 2025.
