Dax Shepard Says He Offered to Pay for Daughter Delta, 11, to Freeze Her Eggs for Future Use
Dax Shepard is thinking of his little one’s future birthday gift.
Indeed, the Parenthood alum shared that he offered to pay his daughter Delta Shepard, 11—his youngest with wife Kristen Bell—to get her eggs frozen when she turns 18.
“She said she wants to have a baby,” Dax, 51, explained during the Jan. 5 episode of his Armchair Expert podcast. “And I said, ‘When do you think you’ll have your first child? When you turn 18?’ I want to be supportive. I won’t plant any seeds that I’d be judgmental. And she said, ‘Wait, no. 18? What do you think?’ And I said, ‘My guess is between 35 and 45 is when I think you’ll have kids.’”
He added, “I said, ‘If you want to, we’ll freeze your eggs when you’re 18. I’ll pay for you to get your eggs frozen so you don’t have to think about it.’”
While his cohost Monica Padman, 38, thought the gesture was “lovely,” Dax—also dad to daughter Lincoln, 12, with the Veronica Mars actor—noted Delta wasn’t a fan of his estimated age range.
