NEED TO KNOW
A song from George Harrison’s vast discography finally has a music video after more than five decades, thanks to Finn Wolfhard.
The actor and musician, 22, directed the first-ever video for George’s 1973 single “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth).”
The track was part of Living in the Material World, an album released by George following The Beatles’ breakup in the 1970s. George died from cancer at age 58 in November 2001.
“To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honor,” Wolfhard said in a statement.
“It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever,” he continued.

The stop-motion video for “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)” brings viewers through the gardens of Friar Park, George’s England home, where he lived from 1970 until his death. It also pays homage to the musician’s love of gardening.
Animation for the music video was crafted by Nobody Told Me Studios and Tye Down Pictures through a team of 20 stop-motion artists. Akash Jones served as the animation director, Jason Baum and Michael Wamara produced, and the music video was executive produced by David Zonshine and Dhani Harrison — George and Olivia Harrison’s son.
Reflecting on working with Wolfhard, George, 47, said, “Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad. My dad would have loved this, and I hope his wonderful, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation. Great job, Finn — we love you.”
