The All-American Rejects paused their latest show mid-song after noticing that a fan had “passed out” in the pit.
The “Dirty Little Secret” rockers were performing a set at KROQ’s annual Almost Acoustic Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 13, when frontman Tyson Ritter halted the band to ensure that an attendee in distress got the assistance they needed, fan-captured footage shows.
Ritter, 41, was singing hit track “Gives You Hell” during the group’s holiday set at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles when he asked his bandmates and crew members to stop, according to a video a concertgoer shared on TikTok. TMZ also shared footage of the incident.
“Let’s stop the song,” Ritter said, just after pausing partway through the song’s bridge. “Stop the f—— music right now.”

“Let’s get some EMT. Girl just passed out. Is she back? She with us? Tell me you weren’t looking for your f—— purse,” the All-American Rejects frontman continued, addressing the crowd member directly. “Let’s get you out of there. You can come sit and watch the rest of the song onstage.”
Ritter then handed off his guitar to a crew member and grabbed a water bottle from the stage to give to the fan.
“He grabbed his own water bottle. What a f—— G,” a crowd member could be heard saying off-camera in fan-captured footage, as Ritter rushed to hand the bottle to the fan.
As event staff assisted the fan, the singer then tried to keep things lighthearted — and festive — at the holiday concert
“We need Twinkies, some sugar. Anybody got any gumdrops? It’s f—— Christmas time, do we have any Christmas gumdrops? Pieces of gingerbread houses?” he asked the audience, before once again addressing the fan directly: “You okay, babe?”
“There we go, Milk Duds to the rescue!” he added, implying that someone had given the crowd member some chocolate candy at his request. Someone else threw a protein bar on the stage, which the singer then walked out to the fan as security lifted her over the barricade.

As security walked the fan out of the show, the crowd cheered — and Ritter wondered if he should resume the track, asking the crowd if it’s “not cool to finish the song?”

After getting a thumbs-up from someone helping the fan — whom he identified as a “medical man” — Ritter and his bandmates then resumed the song, TMZ’s footage shows.
The KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas official Instagram page reposted the outlet’s coverage of the incident, but did not share any further comment.
The 2025 event also featured performances from Evanescence, Papa Roach, Third Eye Blind, Wet Leg and more, with proceeds going toward two L.A.-area charities, Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center and Para Los Niños.
