NEED TO KNOW
All you want for Christmas is a workout playlist?
Well, this list of top 10 Christmas songs to listen to while running, lifting or doing other cardio will be the gift that keeps on giving every year.
Results from a study conducted by personal health and fitness coaching program MyBodyTutor, which were published in the New York Post, found the 10 best Christmas songs for moderate- to high-intensity workouts.
MyBodyTutor analyzed Spotify’s most popular holiday songs and then identified these 10 songs, which all fall in the 120 to 150 BPM range — a.k.a. the “sweet spot” for these types of workouts, according to the outlet.
Topping the list at No. 1 is Mariah Carey’s perennial holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has spent 19 weeks — as of Dec. 11 — atop Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 singles chart since its release in 1994.
Rounding out the top 5 are José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad” at No. 2, Frank Sinatra’s “Jingle Bells” at No. 3, Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at No. 4, and Michael Bublé’s “Jingle Bells” at No. 5.
