Melissa McCarthy received a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift from Kelly Clarkson!
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, McCarthy, 55, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show just days after hosting Saturday Night Live for the sixth time. While on the episode, The Little Mermaid actress took part in Clarkson’s “Reindeer Games” — a segment where the “Where Have You Been” singer and her guest each wear inflatable reindeer antlers as they attempt to hook rings on each other’s headwear — and won. Her prize? A personalized voicemail message sang to the tune of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
McCarthy won the game by landing three rings to Clarkson’s two. The host and Grammy winner, 43, then asked her guest, “Okay, do you have your phone?”
Once the Oscar-nominated star handed it over, Clarkson began to sing, “Hark, my lady’s phone will ring/But she won’t be answering/Nope!/Do not take it personally/It’s not you, but probably/Trader Joes and In and Out/She is running all about/Leave a message at the tone/She’s probably home but doesn’t want to you.”
McCarthy cheered as Clarkson concluded the message, “Oh my God, all right!”

The holiday season is turning out to be an extra festive one for McCarthy. Just days before she appeared on The Kelly Clarkson show, she joined the six-timers club at SNL, where she hosted a festive episode of the long-running sketch series.
She even had a small musical moment of her own as she pulled off a bit of physical comedy with a piano as she appeared to crush her fingers on the keys.
“Now I’ve ruined Christmas,” the Gilmore Girls alum said as she slumped over the piano, to which Kenan Thompson responded, “Oh, nonsense, Melissa McCarthy. Come on, you haven’t ruined Christmas at all. Everyone here loves you. Now, why don’t we do one of your favorite Christmas songs?”
The pair then performed a mouth horn duet as she closed out her monologue.

Clarkson has her own reason to celebrate this holiday: in November, her 2004 song “Since U Been Gone” hit 1 billion streams on Spotify.
“Since U Been Gone” previously won a Grammy Award in 2006 for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and its music video also won two MTV Video Music Awards in 2005 for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.
