Moses Martin, the 19-year-old son of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, released his debut single last week with his band People I’ve Met — and the ethereal track has mom’s stamp of approval.
Paltrow, 53, showed support for her son with an Instagram video on Dec. 6 that featured a montage video set to People I’ve Met’s single “Promise,” which came out one day earlier.
The video included a number of people, places and things, including an aerial shot of New York City by night, wheatpasted ads of Paltrow, her playing with a dog, a marquee advertising her new film Marty Supreme at The Lido Theater in Newport Beach, Calif., and finally, a clip of Moses smiling in a concert venue and a photo of him performing on stage.
Actress Reese Witherspoon, a friend of Paltrow’s, also showed support by commenting on the video, “Love this song, Moses!! 👏.”
Moses wrote on Instagram on the day of the song’s release that he was “so proud” of “Promise,” and “endlessly grateful” to his bandmates Orlando Wiltshire and Andrew Suster. He also thanked producer Noah Conrad, who’s worked with stars like Role Model and Chappell Roan.
“Sometimes I associate songs with colors, and to me this one felt like a sort of rainbow, so I wanted to capture that — the full spectrum of color and life,” Moses added in a press release statement.
Wiltshire, meanwhile, said in a statement that the song “reflects what Moses was going through and follows the breakup in real time.”

People I’ve Met, formerly known as DANCER, supported Royel Otis on tour this summer on a select number of dates. In August, Moses’ sister Apple, 21, commented on a video shared to Instagram celebrating her brother’s success.
“My brother is a ROCKSTAR!!!!!,” she wrote. “I am the proudest sister.”
Mom Paltrow also praised his skills in a birthday Instagram post in April, writing: “You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college.”
Apple has also dipped her toes into the world of music, and joined the band Jade Street for the single “Satellite,” her first release, in October. The model is currently studying law, history and society at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
