Rumer Willis is releasing a fan-favorite cover — and teasing the arrival of her first-ever album.
On Nov. 21, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, 37, showed off her vocals in a brand new music video, in which she covered Christopher Cross’ 1979 classic track “Sailing,” accompanied by singer-songwriter Austin Brown.
“The ‘Sailing’ music video is out now!” Rumer captioned her Instagram post, which featured herself in a white, floral dress with her blonde hair down, as she and Brown performed in a studio together. “So glad to finally be able to share it with the world! ⛵️🎶.”
Rumer’s friends, family and fans were quick to sing her praises underneath the video.
“You sound so good! 😍😍😍😍😍😍” sister Scout, 33, commented.
“So beautiful,” sister Tallulah, 30, added.
“Rumer is incredible! Wow. That voice – the world needs to hear more from this beautiful woman!” another commenter wrote, as yet another chimed in: “Such a beautiful voice — she makes this rendition so special! So unexpected but I want to hear more from her!”
Just two days later, the Doctor Odyssey alum teased her first full-length album — and addressed the fact that it has been a long time coming.
“I feel so full and inspired,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself posing with a guitar as she rocked a white dress and stood in front of a picket fence. “I had the privilege of spending some time in Nashville this year to work on my first album (yes the one that has seemingly been happening for years now, but it’s FINALLY happening) and I feel like my heart is overflowing with gratitude for the opportunity to work with and learn from such incredible mentors.”
“I am writing songs I am so excited to share and feel so proud to call myself not only a singer but a musician and songwriter as well,” Rumer continued. “I am so excited to share what I have been working on and grateful to all of those who have been apart of my journey so far. And huge thank you to @gibsonguitar for a chance to play around with this gorgeous guitar.”
Rumer is not the first of Moore and Willis’ three daughters to delve into the music industry.
Just last month, Scout spoke with PEOPLE about her new single “It Ain’t Nothing,” which was a collaboration between producers and songwriters JT Daly (Benson Boone), Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves), and Steph Jones (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato).
According to Willis, the song encapsulates “that moment when you meet someone at a party or you’ve been involved in a flirtation but nothing’s happened yet, and there’s all this coiled energy and power between you.”

“That moment of tension, that’s a very powerful moment to live in, and I think a lot of people rush through it in my experience.”
Willis, who released “Blame Me” earlier this fall, is also working on a full-length record. After the L.A. wildfires, she traveled to Nashville in March 2025 where she began doing co-writes for the first time with songwriters Daly enlisted.
“It felt like I was on these musical blind dates every day, and I wrote about two records worth of music,” she added to PEOPLE.
