Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu had a stylish reunion on The Drew Barrymore Show on Friday, Dec. 5.
Barrymore, 50, and Liu, 57, wore matching khaki pantsuits complete with wide-leg trousers, crisp white dress shirts, and burgundy ties with a white pattern. The actresses co-starred in two installments of the Charlie’s Angels franchise in 2000 and 2003.
“Please, without further ado, my sister from another mother, Lucy Liu,” Barrymore introduced her longtime friend. “Yes, we are in the same outfit. Because that’s how we roll. I mean, we are 2/3 of the elite crime-fighting team, so obviously.”
“This will just have to sub for Cam for now,” Liu chimed in, referencing Cameron Diaz, who was the third member of the Charlie’s Angels trio.
“Yeah, Cameron’s actually on a set right now filming one of her latest films out in New Jersey,” Barrymore added, noting that the trio would be reunited this upcoming weekend.

Liu appeared on the show ahead of the release of her upcoming film Rosemead. The film, inspired by a true story, sees Liu as “an ailing woman who takes drastic measures to protect her troubled teenage son,” per an official synopsis.
“I’m so excited that your son, and this is a mother-son love story of one of the most wild degrees I’ve ever seen in my life, but Rockwell is gonna grow up and he’s gonna watch what his mom does,” Barrymore said, praising Liu’s performance and referencing the actress’s son, Rockwell, 10.
“I mean, the journey he gets to take with those films and seeing those, I hope you’re the most proud that you’ve ever been in your whole life when it comes to Rockwell and Rosemead,” Barrymore continued.

“I cannot talk right now. Thank you,” Liu said through tears. “You really did it. You really, really did it,” Barrymore added.
“Are you just trying to like poke holes in me right now because I’m getting leaky,” Liu joked of her emotional reaction.
“Congratulations, I can’t wait for this weekend. I love you so much. I’m so happy for you. It’s so deserved and well earned,” Barrymore said.
Rosemead hits theaters Friday, Dec. 5.
