Having watched her union with Liam Hemsworth metaphorically burn after their Malibu home went up in flames in 2018, Cyrus was good with being alone. She was gold, actually.
But when a friend floated the idea of setting her up with 27-year-old Morando on a blind date, the Hannah Montana alum reflected to British Vogue in 2023, “I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.'”
Instead, she found the kinda dream that can’t be sold.
Mostly because, this time around, she was looking for more than just a piercing stare and effortless curls.
In the past, she acknowledged in a joint sit down with mom Tish and sisters Brandi Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, her mother had encouraged her to stay “with the wrong guy,” she explained to New York magazine’s The Cut, “’cause they’re hot.'”
Though, make no mistake, she insisted of Morando, “My man’s hot as hell too. But my man also respects me.”
With the rocker, she continued, “I ended up with a person who means a lot to me and treats me really well and respects me.”
