NEED TO KNOW
Liam Gallagher quit alcohol for Oasis’ comeback tour — until the final show, which saw him celebrating by “having a few” drinks. But the rocker clarified this was a one-time thing.
The British band — which Liam, 53, fronts with brother Noel Gallagher, 58 — concluded the Oasis Live ’25 Tour in São Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 23. To commemorate it, the “Wonderwall” singer, who previously said he quit drugs and alcohol for the tour, “had a few beers,” he revealed on X.
On Nov. 27, a user on the platform shared an onstage clip of Liam and wrote, “A week more of touring and he would have ended in a psychiatric hospital.” Liam replied, “Why’s that then,” and a different user then asked him if he has “gotten off your coconut yet.”
In response, Liam — known for his frequent fan interactions on X — said that he “had a few beers,” but he “wasn’t feeling it.”
“I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation,” he added.
The “Live Forever” singer shared a bit more insight into his post-tour celebration in various posts on X.
Ahead of the final tour stop on Nov. 23, Liam said that he planned to celebrate by “having a few.” And, after someone asked if he got “blitzed” following the final Oasis gig, Liam wrote, “I didn’t you know I had 5 lagers and got my head down I couldn’t be arsed.”
Replying to a different fan, who told him that it is “better off staying off the beer,” Liam said that he is “enjoying being sober.”

Liam’s X posts about his decision to break his sobriety come shortly after he shared a message for Oasis fans after wrapping the massive, sold-out tour.
“To all OASIS fans around the world young middle aged old as f— THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart,” Liam wrote on Nov. 24. “You absolutely LICKED IT UP TO RAS forever grateful for your ENERGY and BIBLICAL vibes without you [we’re] just a good band with you [we’re] the BEST BAND ON THE F—— PLANET LG x.”
The “Stand by Me” singer previously revealed in March that he was quitting alcohol for the Oasis tour — which kicked off in July, marking the end of his longstanding feud with brother and bandmate Noel . At the time, he wrote on X that he was doing well and he’s “not interested in the booze at the moment” and had “had enough.”

Months later, he revealed that he also abstained from cigarettes and drugs for the tour, citing the fans and band as inspiration for the decision.

In a Nov. 6 X post replying to a fan praising him on his “great job staying healthy for the gigs,” Liam began, “Oasis saved my life.”
“It’s about time I sorted my nappa [head] out,” he wrote, in part. “I know how much this means to people so stopping drinking and smoking and snorting Gary baldies are sacrifices that needed to be made.”
And, after another follower asked the singer if he misses the “occasional Guinness,” to which he replied, “Yeah I miss talking absolute bollocks when I’m bladdered.”
The singer has spoken about drug and alcohol use in the past, telling The Guardian eight years ago that if he could live his life over again, he would “maybe rein it in on the drugs and drink.” He also told the outlet he no longer uses recreational drugs “as much as I used to.”
“I don’t drink as much as I used to. Don’t smoke weed; bores the s— out of me,” Liam said in the 2017 story. “I smoke cigarettes but not a load — last week I didn’t smoke any! I’ve got a bit of discipline. But yeah, every now and then, it depends what’s going on.”
