AnnaSophia Robb and her husband, Trevor Paul, take their holiday traditions very seriously.
Indeed, the 31-year-old actress tells PEOPLE that the two participate in a “gingerbread house contest” every year.
“It isn’t necessarily decorating based,” Robb explains at the 2025 WWD Honors. “I mean, we do decorate and do themes, but we also did a weight challenge to see what house can withstand the most weight.”
Along with sharing a glimpse into their competitive festivities, the Bridge to Tarabithia actress also opened up about what she’s learned throughout her and Paul’s three years of marriage.
“Probably [the] biggest lesson, I think, just enjoying each other,” Robb says. “It’s kind of like the best part of marriage is that you have a lot of time. So little things come up and you know, have time to just sort of, I don’t know, enjoy.”
She goes on to emphasize just how important it is to make sure they take time out of their busy schedules to spend quality time together. “I think taking vacations, spending time, just one-on-one because life gets busy, is important,” she continues.
Robb and Paul met back in March 2016 while reading at a communal table at what is now called Partner’s Coffee in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The couple shared their engagement news five years later when Robb posted a snap from her Amsterdam proposal on Instagram.

“I want to be with you everywhere!🎶 And now I get to 💗 We got engaged!!!” she captioned a series of photos in September 2021, including one of her and Paul showing off her new ring. “YAHHHHOOOOOOO!”
“He’s my best friend, the greatest man I know, & a real bad b*tch 🎶,” she continued. “I feel pure joy beginning the rest of our lives together!”
In October 2022, the pair tied the knot during a three-day mountainside wedding in Upstate New York. And during the “Picnic Chic” ceremony, Robb walked down the aisle to Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” before the pair exchanged vows in front of 175 of their closest friends and family.
“It was so much fun,” the Soul Surfer actress told PEOPLE at the time. “Now, I want plan another party. I’m like, ‘We should really do this again!’ ”
“Walking down the aisle, that was really amazing. Seeing everybody’s faces and then seeing Trevor, I didn’t know if I would be nervous or emotional or what I would feel, and I just felt very confident,” she added. “I was like, ‘This is a great decision. The decision of my life.’ ”
