Tori Spelling is remembering her off-screen relationship with her on-screen love, Brian Austin Green.
Spelling, 52, played Donna Summers on Beverly Hills, 90210. Green, 52, played her on-screen boyfriend, David Silver.
But off-screen, the two were also an item. On the Nov. 18, 2025 episode of their podcast, 9021OMG, Spelling and fellow show alum Jennie Garth spoke about the episode of the show in which Donna loses her virginity to David.

Speaking about the connection between the two characters, Garth said, “I thought it looked real,” to which Spelling replied, “It was real. What are you talking about?”
Spelling continued: “Because, like, whatever Brian and I were and are and like, we have a soul connection. Like, Donna and David, Brian and Tory, we do love each other.”
“We all have a soul connection,” Garth added of the cast.
“Right. But, like, like, at the time when Donna’s like, ‘I love you,’ and David’s like, ‘I love you,’ it’s more. There’s, like, that animalistic, like, sexual, ‘I love you.’ Like, not just I love you, but, like … I’m saying, it goes beyond just acting with Brian and I,” Spelling added.
“And that at that time in your relationship, your IRL relationship, you guys were more involved? ” Garth asked.
“No. Not necessarily, but it was always him. Like, my first love. Like, deeper feelings,” Spelling said.

Green and Spelling have previously spoken about their real-life relationship during the show, with Green revealing on the Nov. 5 episode of Spelling’s misSPELLING podcast that he couldn’t recall their first hookup.
During a trip to Disneyland alongside their 90210 costars, Spelling recalled that she and Green — who were seeing each other at the time — spent the entire day fighting.
“We used to have those huge blowout fights for a lot,” Green said. “And I think a lot of that was attraction and a lot of that was really coming of age in it all.”
As Spelling continued the story, the television personality teased that the argument ended in the two having sex for the first time, but Green insisted that he didn’t remember those details.
Following Green and Spelling’s past romantic connection, both stars moved on to different relationships, and also lost contact for some time.
On the Aug. 26 episode of Green’s podcast Oldish, the two spoke about how they didn’t speak for nearly two decades, with Spelling saying, “it was almost like going through a divorce or something.”
Eventually, the two mended their friendship, sharing that they speak regularly on the phone and have rekindled their old dynamic but in a more friendly fashion.
Spelling ended up marrying Dean McDermott in May 2006, but they have since split and filed for divorce. Meanwhile, Green was married to Megan Fox from 2010 to 2021 and is now engaged to Sharna Burgess.
