Kim Kardashian learned she has “low brain activity” via a new scan she received during an episode of The Kardashians.
In the Thursday, Nov. 27 episode, Kardashian, 45, went to receive the scan alongside Scott Disick. “Scott and I are both going to look at our brains today with Dr. Daniel Amen. He does these brain scans to see how your brain health is really looking,” the reality star said in season 7, episode 6.
Dr. Amen was previously featured on The Kardashians, when he scanned Khloé Kardashian’s and Kendall Jenner’s brains in 2022. The celebrity doctor has become a household name for his use of brain imaging technology.
“I have a beautiful brain,” Kardashian said. “I’ve heard that before.”
Dr. Amen then confirmed that she does not have a high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Based on the imaging, the celebrity doctor said Kardashian is “not terribly stressed, not anxious and not depressed.” “You are extraordinary in being positive,” Dr. Amen added.
Despite the positive traits, Dr. Amen also noted the “holes” in her brain scan, which he said indicated “low activity.”
“The front part of your brain is less active than it should be,” the doctor explained. “With your frontal lobes, as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress and that’s not good for you, especially as you’re studying and you’re getting ready to take the boards.”
“That just can’t be,” Kardashian replied. “It just can’t — not accepting.”

Dr. Amen went on to say that Kardashian’s results may be connected to the “chronic stress” she endures while studying for the California bar exam. He then offered steps toward managing her stress.
“I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s–t to do this summer,” she said.
On the Nov. 20 episode of The Kardashians, the Skims founder told her sister Kourtney Kardashian that doctors had found an aneurysm in her brain.
“I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they’re like, ‘Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain,'” she told Kourtney. “They’re like, ‘It’s been there for years. It was here a few years ago.'”

After hearing from the doctor, Kardashian said she called brain surgeon Keith Black. “I sent him a picture of it, and he was like, ‘I want you to come in for all this imaging.’ And then I asked, I was like, ‘Can I wait? ‘Cause what makes it rupture?’ And they’re like, ‘Just stress.'”
The All’s Fair star attributes that stress to studying for the bar, and the ongoing fallout of her 2022 divorce from ex-husband Kanye West, who now goes by Ye.
New episodes of The Kardashians premiere Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
