No Turkey Day is complete without A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, the Peanuts classic that first premiered on CBS in November 1973. As the tenth prime-time animated special from Charles M. Schulz, it’s a feast of fun featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang navigating a holiday full of chaos, popcorn, pretzel sticks and jelly beans.
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was Schulz’s third holiday special, following the beloved A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966), proving that no matter the season, the Peanuts gang always serves up heart (and a side of hilarity) on the menu.
Watching the Emmy-winning special is an anticipated holiday tradition for many, and fortunately, it’s available to stream this season. However, options to do so are limited, as it won’t be shown on broadcast TV.
