NEED TO KNOW
Jessi Ngatikaura is not holding back.
Back in season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Demi Engemann told the ladies about an NSFW situation involving herself, husband Bret Engemann and Fruity Pebbles.
Demi never spelled out what the encounter entailed, leaving fans to make their own guesses, and has played coy in interviews since. Now, several seasons later, Jessi is putting it all out there.
As Demi has recently insinuated that the show is more heavily scripted than it lets on, Jessi let her thoughts be known on a recent Instagram Stories, writing, “Honey, just because you script YOURSELF doesn’t mean our show is scripted. This behavior, level of delusion and downward spiral should be studied.”

Jessi continued to clap back as she responded to a recent comment Demi left on a creator’s video, in which she said that “Jessi’s somewhere punching air right now that Lisa is talking about me and not her.”
“I don’t know about you guys, but I am loving this Demi crash-out era right now,” Jessi began her response video.
“Her saying something like this is laughable because genuinely would never be jealous of someone saying these things Lisa’s saying about her. She got caught on camera. She knows it and she’s trying to backtrack,” Jessi continued.
“So since she wants to be petty and be an a——, I think I’m just going to go ahead and say that Grandpa Bret likes to drink her piss like it’s dirty soda, and he gulps it down like water. And that’s what Fruity Pebbles is.”

Demi later responded to Jessi’s claims in an Instagram Stories post.
“What my husband and I did one-time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in our marriage,” Demi wrote. “I won’t let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to.”
“I shared this information with Jessi in confidence nearly two years ago,” Demi continued. “It’s very telling that she’s choosing to break storyline and bring it up now, only after her own affair has come to light. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to shift attention away from her own behavior.”
In season 1, the Fruity Pebbles encounter became the subject of an argument between Demi and Whitney Leavitt, who gifted her a box of the cereal as a cheeky joke that was not well-received.
At the time, Demi explained that her husband wasn’t thrilled about the details of their sex life becoming public.
“We’re in a little bit of a disagreement over the Fruity Pebbles thing,” she told her fellow MomTokers.
“He wasn’t a prude about it. He’s like, ‘I get it, I want you to be excited. I want you to be able to talk about these things, but I don’t want to feel like I have to second-guess what I’m about to do in the bedroom.'”
Of the situation, she said, “I take full accountability that I’m the one who opened the can of worms, but it does bother me the way that Whitney went about that. It just felt a little tacky to me.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu, with a new season coming in early 2026.
