Michael B. Jordan paid tribute to his late friend Chadwick Boseman as he was immortalized in Hollywood.
The 38-year-old was on hand to honor his Black Panther costar as he received a posthumous star on the Walk of Fame on Nov. 20, hours before Michael himself was honored by American Cinematheque.
“That was special. I couldn’t have planned it any better,” Michael told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at the American Cinematheque Award Ceremony. “Chad was a special person and for him to be honored and remembered the way he is, hearing people talk about him, makes me feel full and happy. So to kind of like share this day with him really is special.”
Joining Michael on the Walk of Fame were his and Chadwick’s Black Panther costar Letitia Wright as well as the late actor wife Taylor Ledward-Boseman.
“Today we recognize a lifetime of artistry,” Taylor said in her speech at the ceremony. “We recognize your skill and your devotion and we submit your legacy as a hero and an icon.”
