NEED TO KNOW
Nicholas Galitzine is not just a huge Charli xcx fan — he’s her costar in the new movie, 100 Nights of Hero.
The Mary & George actor, 31, stars alongside the pop star in the absurdist fairytale from writer-director Julia Jackman. Though Galitzine was “disappointed” he didn’t share any scenes with the Grammy winner in the film (out in theaters now), he tells PEOPLE he’s “really happy” to see her acting career flourishing as a longtime listener of her music.
“She’s always been huge in England,” says the English actor, “but she’s got such incredible energy and is truly creatively unyielding and a powerhouse, really. I think that kind of word gets thrown around a lot, but I think her appetite for the creative and pushing herself creatively cannot be satiated.”
On top of having a supporting role in 100 Nights of Hero, Charli will soon headline The Moment, an A24 movie due out in 2026, inspired by an original idea by the “Boom Clap” singer. At the Toronto International Film Festival in September, the performer premiered the indie comedy Erupcja, marking her first lead role in a film. Additionally, Charli created the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s anticipated 2026 film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, which will feature 12 original songs from the brat singer.
Speaking to the latter project, Galitzine added, “I just saw that the Wuthering Heights trailer, which looks f——- unreal, and I have heard the soundtrack she wrote as well, and it’s like she’s doing that. We’ve spoken. Acting is going to be, I think, a big part of her life now. And so I very much admire people who are just these forces.”

“I have to say, it’s very inspiring just seeing what she’s been able to do and yeah, I really look forward to seeing her next acting role,” he continues. “I was at the screening with Julia and I was like, ‘I thought we were the first ones, Charli’s an actor, but apparently someone else got to her before we did, which is frustrating.”
In addition to Galitzine and Charli, 100 Nights of Hero also stars Emma Corrin, Maika Monroe and Amir El-Masry.
“When a charming house guest (Galitzine) arrives at a remote castle, the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin), is thrown into chaos,” reads IFC Films’ synopsis for the film.
100 Nights of Hero is now playing in theaters.
