Lainey Wilson is one high-fashion host!
The singer-songwriter, 33, returned to the stage to host the 59th Annual CMA Awards for the second consecutive year, wowing the audience of fellow musicians with not one — or two or three — but eight outfit changes.
Wilson, who is the first solo woman to host the ceremony in 34 years after cohosting in 2024, arrived to the red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville in a head-turning turquoise jumpsuit and matching sheet cape to kick off her string of dazzling looks on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The ensemble featured a plunging neckline and sparkling embellishments. The star added metallic pumps and, of course, a matching turquoise cowboy hat.

The Grammy winner kept her glam simple and glowy. Her blonde hair was styled into loose waves.
She set the fashion bar was high with her first look, but raised it even higher with her many outfit changes. Wilson later hit the stage for a performance in a puffy-sleeved white jacket with ornate metallic embellishments and matching flared pants. The look was belted, with the buckle of the belt reading “CMA.”

The star added her a matching white cowboy hat — and even briefly twinned with actress and comedian Leanne Morgan, who hit the stage alongside her in a similar white outfit!

For Wilson’s third look, she appeared in a baby blue halter dress with a high-low silhouette and feather trim. Underneath the belted gown, she wore a pair of matching blue trousers, and, to no one’s surprise, a coordinating cowboy hat.
The “Heart Like a Truck” singer pulled up in a fourth outfit when hitting the stage alongside Billy Bob Thornton.
The singer went for a Pamella Roland black jumpsuit with a pink floral embroidered bustier top and black trousers from the spring-summer 2026 collection, accessorizing with a black cowboy hat.

Wilson went back to black in a tailored jacket with large silver embellishments around the shoulders. She teamed the top with black wide-leg trousers and topped off the look with a simple black cowboy hat.

The star went all out for her final look of the night, which she wore to accept the coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Wilson opted for a long-sleeve camo-print jumpsuit with an olive green belt and matching gloves. The look was completed with a black cowboy hat with a camo-print hat band.

Wilson, who was a nine-time CMA Award winner coming into this year’s event, opened up about being the first woman to host the awards show solo since Reba McEntire in 1991 during her appearance on Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast.
“I looked it up too, and I was like, there’s no way. I let Reba know I was doing this, and she was so excited,” Wilson said. “It’s been a long time since a woman has done it solo. I’m glad they trust me. I like to run my mouth, and I love country music.”

The “Hang Tight Honey” singer also had one request prior to rehearsals, noting that her jokes won’t be restricted.
“If I can poke fun at people, hey, we good,” she said. “I tried to get them to let me do it last year and they were like, ‘whoa, whoa, whoa… that’s too far.’ But I go way back with these people. Let me make fun of Luke Combs, please.”
The 59th Annual CMA Awards aired live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 19, on ABC and will stream the next day on Hulu.
