NEED TO KNOW
Meghan Markle and her family are preparing for Thanksgiving by raiding the garden.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared her newest As ever product on Tuesday, Nov. 18, revealing how her whole family chips in to help harvest herbs needed for a holiday feast right in their Montecito, California, backyard.
“When it comes to our founder’s favorites, the delicate, herbaceous flavor of sage ranks high on the list,” read the latest newsletter from Meghan’s lifestyle company. “Why, you ask? Well, those photos you’ve seen this year on our Instagram of Meghan walking through what seems like lavender, with its gorgeous purple hue, actually share the beauty of flowering sage (Fun fact: the varietal is called Santa Barbara).”
The newsletter went on to share how Prince Archie, 6, Princess Lilibet, 4, Prince Harry, 41, and even the family’s two dogs get in on the fun.
“Those strolls, with Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees, Pula chasing the ball with Mia trying to keep up — those were the sun-drenched moments that made an everyday walk something a bit more magical. And that sage, that purple, that scent around the garden, was always there in the background,” said the newsletter.
In addition to cooking with sage, Meghan’s been gifting it to friends, infusing it into oils and using it to perfume a very special batch of honey from her backyard bees. That’s what inspired her latest product: As ever’s Sage Honey with Honeycomb.
As Ever
“Here we are: a stunning sage honey, aromatic and earthy, epicurean in its depth of flavor and elegant simplicity, inspired by the treats she enjoys at her home with her family,” the newsletter shared. “Our Sage Honey is now available for your holiday table, to beautifully dress your Thanksgiving feast—either on the bird or on the vegetables. Or in a vinaigrette. Or as a spoonful in your tea. This special honey is the top holiday tip you’ll want to share. Enjoy!”
In addition to the product, which is now available for $32 for a 9 oz. jar, As ever also offers a unique way to use it — part of their “Montecito Thanksgiving love story.”
“When dreaming up the Holiday Collection months ago, Meghan imagined what it would taste like to have a sage honey drizzled on her Thanksgiving turkey,” the newsletter shared.
By combining the Sage Honey with dijon mustard, lemon juice, cooking stock and spices, fans can recreate Meghan’s savory As ever Sage Honey Glaze.
As Ever
Meghan has previously said that Thanksgiving in Montecito is “always pretty low-key.”
“Being close to my mom is great,” she told Marie Claire in November 2024, sharing that her mother, Doria Ragland, who lives nearby, always joins them for the holiday.
So do famous friends. Meghan told Marie Claire about her open-door policy on the festive holiday, saying, “I think you always make sure there’s room at the table for your friends who don’t have family, which is really key.”
In 2023, that led to an iconic visitor making a pilgrimage to the Sussex home: feminist icon Gloria Steinem.

No matter the guest list, Meghan’s first priority is making things magical for Archie and Lilibet. She said the holidays have gotten better with each year her kids have grown. “We’re always making sure we have something fun to do.”
“At first, I think as a mom with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet,” she continued. “But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”
