NEED TO KNOW
Donald Trump says he “almost knew” he was going to “win” the 2024 U.S. presidential election after he served french fries during a campaign trail appearance in Pennsylvania.
“I’m honored to stand before you as the very first former McDonald’s fry cook ever to become president of the United States,” Trump, 79, told the audience at the McDonald’s Impact Summit in Washington, D.C. on Monday, Nov. 17, per USA Today.
“At the line, the people had no idea, so I made the french fries. The guy was really good. He had a great wrist,” Trump said, mimicking the motions of the fry cook in a video shared by CBS News.
“It was not that easy, but I got it sort of finally, not the greatest, but I was pouring it in, asking them all sorts of stupid questions, but it was very interesting,” he added to the crowd of corporate leadership, franchise owners, politicians and other stakeholders.
“Amazing. A little thing is not — it’s a little complex, right?” he added.
“That line was a long line,” Trump continued about his campaign stop in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 20, 2024. “They had 25,000 people, so somebody let them know we were coming.”
“After I did the french fries and did some other things, I then stood at the window, and the people would drive up, a little bored, in all fairness, you know, it is, I mean, they’re waiting for a hamburger, okay?” he joked.
“So they drive up, like just, they look over. Whoa! Every one of them. And it was fascinating. Every one of them, it was, the response was incredible. Almost like I knew I was gonna win when I saw that.”
He added that “the response was love,” and that it was “great.”

Trump’s appearance came five days after the House Oversight Committee released several thousand pages of documents obtained by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, including numerous email exchanges between Epstein and others.

In one exchange, between Epstein and his personal confidante, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein calls Trump “that dog that hasn’t barked.”
“[Redacted victim’s name] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned,” he added.
Maxwell replied, “I have been thinking about that…”
In another email, this one with Trump biographer Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote about his alleged membership at Mar-a-Lago, “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever.”
“Of course, he knew about the girls,” added Epstein, who was a registered sex offender and was due to stand trial for sex trafficking of minors before his death by suicide in 2019.
Speaking with reporters days after the emails’ release, Trump insisted. “I know nothing about that. They would have announced that a long time ago.”
“Jeffrey Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years,” he added.
