Brown and Kountz first met while working on the 2001 Disney Channel film, which was a sequel to 1998’s Halloweentown.
The actress previously told PEOPLE that there were “never any romantic discussions, thoughts or feelings at that time,” as Kountz added, “We were strictly professional.”

After filming wrapped, the two remained friends, mostly keeping in touch via social media, and they reconnected again in 2016, when Brown contacted her former costar about a YouTube project she was working on.
They then got engaged in June 2022, and Brown and Kountz eventually wed in front of close friends and family in California in April 2024.

Brown and Kountz recently collaborated once more when they starred in the third installment in Hallmark Channel’s Haul Out the Holly movie series, a Halloween-themed film titled Haul Out the Halloween.
The film follows new, Halloween-obsessed neighbors who inspire the residents of Evergreen Lane to go all out with their scariest holiday-themed decor, costumes and more to become EverSCREAM Lane.
Brown and Kountz joined the neighborhood as the new neighbors, Luna and Marvin, and they appeared alongside Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Melissa Peterman, Stephen Tobolowsky and Ellen Travolta, who reprised their roles of Emily, Jared, Pamela, Ned and Mary Louise, respectively.
Hall Out the Halloween is available to stream on Hallmark+, while the Halloweentown film series can be streamed on Disney+.
