Terrence J and Mikalah Sultan traveled to their favorite city to tie the knot!
The actor and former BET host, 43 — whose full name is Terrence Jenkins — and the model, 27, got married in an “elegant, classy and timeless” wedding on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at luxury beach resort Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. An all-black, black-tie dress code, as well as tasteful drapery, candles and flowers elevated the sophisticated celebration.
“The wedding is a dream come true,” Sultan exclusively tells PEOPLE. “Just being able to get everyone we love in the same room to celebrate the deep love and connection TJ and I have is beyond fulfilling.”

Approximately 130 guests flew out for the nuptials, many of whom got their passport for the first time for the wedding. Among the celebrity guests was Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, 55, who officiated the ceremony.
“This is something that’s unprecedented — bringing 130 people from the U.S. to a foreign country to celebrate love and partnership,” Terrence says. “We’re bringing cultures together, creatives together, and it’s a beautiful thing to experience.”

For Terrence, organizing the wedding was “like planning a big field trip” because guests came from “all over” the world. His team worked alongside creatives in Dubai. “It’s really an international collaboration,” he says.
The Perfect Match star traveled to Dubai with Sultan a few years ago while he was shooting a movie. From the restaurants to the people, the pair “fell in love with” the region and its “energy.” They wanted to capture that feeling for their wedding, so they had multiple fun events, including a full day of tourism, a yacht party, a dinner in the desert safari experience and an all-white beach party at Cove Beach.
“Bringing our loved ones on an experience that they’ve never been on was important to us,” Terrence says, with Sultan adding, “What’s important to us is to have an unforgettable experience celebrating our love with the people that we love. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we’re just extremely grateful to be able to have something like this.”

On the wedding day, Sultan walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” — the first song that Sultan and Terrence danced to together after getting engaged, and the last dance Sultan shared with her grandfather.
During the ceremony, the couple’s loved ones, including Terrence’s late father and Sultan’s late grandfather, were honored. Terrence and Sultan exchanged “deeply personal” handwritten vows before saying “I do.”
“To me, marriage means choosing your best friend every day,” Terrence says. “Building a life filled with love, laughter and unwavering support. Marriage means, through sickness and through health, til death do us part.”

The reception space was decked out in white, ivory and cream decor. Guests were wowed by a violinist, saxophonist, flutist, live band and belly dancers from Connect Entertainment. In another surprise, Terrence and Sultan pulled off an impressive choreographed waltz to “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims.
“We’ve been taking dance classes for months in hopes to surprise our guests!” Sultan says of her first dance. She wore two custom dresses on her special day — one designed by Pronovias and another by Brides by Nona — and had her hair and makeup done by A1hair Concierge and Glammed by Lika, respectively.
Perhaps most “incredible” was the food served.

Terrence detailed the menu, noting, “From Nobu to Carbone to caviar service, we’ll have four different food experiences: cold canapés and champagne before the ceremony; hot canapés, raw bar, and cocktails for cocktail hour; a four-course sit-down dinner featuring Carbone’s spicy rigatoni; and finally an after-hours menu with truffle pizzas and wagyu sliders.”
For dessert was slices of the wedding cake, which was “just as dramatic and extravagant as the wedding.” Terrence gave “full creative control” to his cake designer, who made the cake float.

Terrence and Sultan have been inseparable since meeting in Manchester, England.
The former 106 & Park host proposed on Dec. 3, 2023, at the Perez Art Museum in Miami, the rooftop of which he rented out and surprised Sultan with an engagement party attended by their closest friends and family members. Sultan gushes that Terrence always knows how to make her “feel safe, loved and supported.” She shares, “He’s my biggest cheerleader and my best friend.”
Now, the newlyweds plan on “continuing to love each other and enjoy [their] lives together.”
“Every day is an adventure,” Sultan says. “I’m always excited about our future. We have so much life to experience and every day is a journey together!”
She adds, “Our life together is everything I could’ve asked for.”
