Here’s a hill I’ll die on: There’s never a wrong time to wear sparkles. 

Whether or not you agree, it looks like celebrities are on the same page. Recently, I’ve spotted Naomi Watts in a glimmering turtleneck top, Jane Fonda in a shimmery jacket, and Kristen Bell in flashy wide-leg pants.

While a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark, Eva Longoria dazzled in what appears to be a $7,650 Brunello Cucinelli sweater. I found a far less expensive style that mimics Longoria’s airy silhouette, tan cuffs and crewneck, and mixture of brown and silver sequins. Comfort isn’t an issue here, as shoppers agree the satin lining protects your skin from the sequin exterior. 

Tynora Open Front Sequin Jacket

Jane Fonda is a good example of how adding coverage and warmth to an ensemble does not mean sacrificing style. This jacket is covered in black sequins and has a slim shape like Fonda’s. The smaller sequins “are more elegant than the big floppy ones,” according to a shopper. Something to note is that there are no zippers or buttons on this jacket, which reviewers appreciate, as it doesn’t interfere with the visibility of their top or dress underneath.

Kristen Bell reminded me that my pants don’t have to come second to my tops. Instead, they can be the star of the sparkly show. Like Bell’s, these pants glitter in the light and have a wide-leg silhouette. “They are lined, not see through, good quality fabric, [and] not too heavy and hot,” one customer said.
