Gayle King isn’t burying the lede: she’s going to be a grandmother again.
The CBS Mornings anchor announced that her son Will Bumpus and his wife Elise Smith are expecting their first baby together.
“Breaking news! Our family is growing!!,” the 70-year-old wrote on Instagram Nov. 6. “Favorite son @willgb3 and favorite daughter-in-law, the lovely @elisemariesmith have JUST given me permission to share photos from Sunday’s baby shower and their baby shoot. They can’t wait and neither can anybody who loves them!”
Gayle’s post included a series of pictures from Will and Elise’s maternity shoot, which sees them posing with their dog and smiling on the beach as the mommy-to-be shows off her baby bump. The photo dump also included a series of photos of the couple from their brown-themed baby shower, as they pose with their parents and attendees, which included Gayle’s BFF Oprah Winfrey and her longtime partner Stedman Graham.
“Can’t wait to see them become parents,” Gayle told Oprah Daily in an interview published Nov. 6. “They are over the moon and I’m right there with them ready to report for duty for ANYTHING they need!”
