NEED TO KNOW
Cher isn’t a fan of aging.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, the “I Got You Babe” singer sat down for an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings — and she was asked how she felt about getting older.
“I keep waiting for this grown up feeling to kick in and I don’t have any hangups about aging. Do you?” King, 70, asked Cher, 79.
“Yes, I hate it!” the “Believe” singer responded immediately. “I’m 10 years older than you babe!”
Then, King pointed out that they’re “wiser” and “more experienced.”
“Oh, I’m stupid,” Cher added. “I’m not wiser.”
Just before discussing her personal thoughts on aging, Cher explained why the age difference between herself and her 39-year-old boyfriend Alexander Edwards has never been an issue.
“He just says, ‘You know, you get older, but your spirit is younger,'” she said of Edwards.
The reason why they get on so well is because they “laugh all the time.”
“I think he’s beautiful. He’s really talented,” Cher added. “He’s one of the most talented persons I’ve ever met.”

When people make comments about their relationship, Cher doesn’t care.
“Whatever,” she told King. “They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast.”
King ended the interview by referencing one of her famous quotes from a CBS interview in 1991.
“You were 45 and you said, ‘I want to be at 75, I want to be doing the same things I’m doing today and I don’t think I can do that unless I take care of my body,'” King recited to her, adding, “You’ve sort of lived up to what you wanted to do back at 45.”
Cher concluded, “I don’t know how to do anything else. What am I gonna do? I love what I do.”
