Christina Perri has filed for divorce from Paul Costabile after seven years of marriage.
According to documents filed by Perri, 39, at the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, on Monday, Nov. 3, and obtained by PEOPLE, Perri listed the reason for their split as “irreconcilable differences.”
She and Costabile married on Dec. 12, 2017, and share two daughters: Pixie Rose, 3, and Carmella Stanley, 7.

Perri, who listed their date of separation as Nov. 3, requested joint legal and physical custody of their two children. The singer also asked that the court be prevented from awarding spousal support to Costabile.
The documents state that the former couple had a prenuptial agreement dated Dec 11, 2017. PEOPLE has reached out to representatives for Perri and Costabile for comment.

Perri and Costible announced their marriage on Instagram in 2017.
Costabile, at the time, shared a photo of himself and Perri in front of a green screen, writing, “4 years ago today I met my dream girl in this room. 4 years later today I married my dream girl and best friend.”
“Pretty sure I’m the proudest I’ve EVER been to be able to call the most bellissima person + woman I’ve ever known now my wife,” he continued. “Whoa. I thank God for the gift of her, our relationship, our bambino on the way, our family’s love and support and this unforgettable year.”
The former couple welcomed their daughter, Carmella, in January 2018. Although the two had yet to announce they were expecting again, in January 2020, Perri announced that she had experienced a miscarriage at 11 weeks.

After announcing that they were expecting again in July 2020, Perri shared that the baby had been “born silent” that November.
The two welcomed Pixie nearly two years later in October 2022.
