Teyana Taylor revealed the only downside of working with her boyfriend Aaron Pierre for her “Long Time” music video.
The actress recently took on Vanity Fair’s “Lie Detector Test,” which was conducted by her All’s Fair costar, Kim Kardashian, and opened up about her relationship with the Mufasa star.
When Kardashian, 45, asked Taylor, 34, if there were “any cons” to working with her significant other, she candidly replied: “I think the only con is that I couldn’t take him down anywhere I wanted.”
The Kardashians star simply responded with an “Mhmm.” Taylor chuckled before adding, “Other than that, everything was pros and gos.”
Pierre was featured as Taylor’s love interest in her “Long Time” music video, which was released in June. The two have been romantically linked since February, when they were spotted together at various events, including the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty.
Taylor confirmed their romance in an Instagram tribute on Pierre’s birthday in June — just days after she released the “Long Time” music video.
Since then, they have made their first red carpet debut at the Sept. 16 premiere of Taylor’s latest movie, One Battle After Another. Pierre, 31, remarked that the experience was “so easy” during an interview with Men’s Health published on Oct. 28.
“Being on the red carpet with Teyana was a joy,” he told the outlet. “And so easy to do because I was supporting someone who I love. Anything that feels right feels easy.”

Meanwhile, Taylor has briefly addressed her relationship with Pierre, telling Sherri Shepherd on the Sept. 24 episode of Sherri, “I feel good, and it feels good to feel good.”
The same month, Today co-host Craig Melvin also tried to get her to address the relationship. “I get so shy and blushy; I just get so shy,” she said, avoiding the topic.
Pierre appears to share a similar approach. He told Men’s Health that he’s “a very private person.” Noting, “I’ve been actively encouraging myself to step out of my comfort zone,” said Pierre, who has one son from a previous relationship.
“Being a father is my greatest joy and my greatest privilege,” he continued. “He’s my everything. But I am fiercely protective of my son and his privacy. Everybody has respected that, and the gratitude I feel for that is immeasurable.”
Taylor has two daughters with her ex-husband, former NBA player Iman Shumpert: Rue Rose, 5, and Iman “Junie” Tayla, 9.
