Shoshana Bean can’t wait for this Broadway song’s big screen debut!
The former Wicked on Broadway star, who played Elphaba from 2005 to 2006, revealed exclusively to PEOPLE which song from the stage she’s most excited to see come to life in the upcoming film Wicked: For Good.
“Probably ‘No Good Deed,’ ” Bean, 48, says at the New York Restoration Project Hulaween Gala in New York City on Friday, Oct. 24.
She adds, “It’s a very cinematic song, and I would love to see it have more life than what a stage is capable of doing, so ‘No Good Deed,’ definitely.”

“No Good Deed” is a game-changing moment in the Broadway show for Elphaba, who sings about her emotional turmoil after the Wizard’s guards capture Fiyero, influencing her to give up on trying to perform good deeds.
Asked at the N.Y.C. gala how she envisions this song playing out in Wicked: For Good, Bean told PEOPLE she’ll leave it up to the film’s director.
“I could not even possibly imagine to the extent that Jon Chu’s genius can dream, can create,” the Hell’s Kitchen alum explains.
The roles of Elphaba, the Wizard and Fiyero will once again be played by Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey, respectively. The follow-up to Wicked: Part 1 will also see the return of Ariana Grande as Glinda, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee and Ethan Slater as Boq.

Recalling her time playing Elphaba on Broadway, Bean remembered how committed she needed to be to stay healthy for every performance.
“I remember it was more than a full-time job,” Bean says. “It was a couple of full-time jobs. My entire life revolved around making sure that I was healthy, strong, flexible — able to do eight shows a week.”
Wicked: For Good arrives in theaters Nov. 21.
