When it comes to her kids’ careers, Kate Hudson wants them to be running point.
The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star revealed what path she could potentially see for all her kids: Ryder Robinson, 21, who she shares with ex Chris Robinson, Bingham Bellamy, 14, who she shares with ex Matt Bellamy, and Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, 7, who she shares with partner Danny Fujikawa.
As Kate exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker on the red carpet of the Oct. 26 Canva World Premiere of Song Sung Blue at AFI Fest 2025, “They’re all musical.”
However, the 46-year-old will only support her little ones picking up instruments if it’s what truly brings them joy.
“I want them to be happy—internally happy—and actually live just a good, like, content life,” Kate said. “That’s what I want.”
And in order for her children to reach that level of “real self-possession,” she understands that they’re going to have to go through some trial and error. In fact, Kate shared that she encourages them to “make tons of mistakes.”
“And have fun and be rebellious,” she added of the advice she passes down. “Don’t let anybody tell you how to do your thing, you know? Be good people—that’s all I care about.”
