NEED TO KNOW
Jen Affleck has seemingly responded to a former Dancing with the Stars pro’s comments about her current dance partner, Jan Ravnik.
In a TikTok video posted on Monday, Oct. 27, Affleck, 25, types on her phone, mimicking leaving comments, between rehearsals with Ravnik, 30.
“Take it down. Take it down. Take it down. We need it gone. Take it down. That doesn’t represent me or what we need to be doing,” Ravnik then lip syncs while wearing a K95 mask. The text on the video read, “Me when anyone talks trash about Jan.”
“We don’t tolerate Jan slander in this house !! @Jan Ravnik @Dancing with the Stars #DWTS,” The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star wrote in the caption.
The video comes after former DWTS pro Maks Chmerkovskiy dissected the show’s previous episode, Wicked night, during the Friday, Oct. 24 episode of his wife Peta Murgatroyd’s podcast, The Penthouse with Peta.
Chmerkovskiy, 45, openly criticized new pro Ravnik, who is best known for being one of Taylor Swift’s backup dancers from the Eras Tour.
“He’s learning. He’s learning slowly. It’s his first season,” Murgatroyd, 39, said of Ravnik. “We have to give him grace for not understanding foxtrot technique. It’s very hard to watch.”
“No, we do not have to give him grace. Are you kidding me?” Chmerkovskiy said.
He applauded his wife for giving Ravnik grace in her review of his performance, which he said is “a skill I do not possess at all,” before sharing his candid opinion.

“I’m sorry, Jan has absolutely no business being a pro on Dancing with the Stars. There’s zero foundation, technique, quality, understanding of the partnership,” Chmerkovskiy said. “Bro, I’m getting emotional. It is absurd.”

The former pro, who competed for 17 seasons on the hit ABC show, continued, “This is unreal, how blind we have to be, and, God forbid, say what’s obviously there — he had no idea what [a] foxtrot is supposed to look like.”

Chmerkovskiy then said he has nothing “against [Ravnik] whatsoever” despite his critiques, but called his casting “a missed opportunity.”
