NEED TO KNOW
One of Taylor Swift’s choreographers, Mandy Moore, is weighing in on what the singer-songwriter’s wedding first dance with Travis Kelce might look like.
While speaking with PEOPLE at Dancers Against Cancer’s 2025 Gala Of The Stars on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in Beverly Hills, California, Moore — who is the choreographer behind Swift’s record-breaking worldwide Eras Tour and “The Fate of Ophelia” music video — predicted that Swift will take a day off from learning any more new dance steps as a bride.
“Oh, God. I don’t know,” Moore tells PEOPLE of the wedding choreography. “So many people ask me that. They’re like, ‘You going to the wedding?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ I just want her to be so happy. [She] and Travis deserve the world.”

Moore suggests that a non-coordinated first dance might be best to allow Swift, 35, and Kelce, 36, to relax and focus on each other on their special day.
“She should just be a bride and not be worried,” she says.
At the black-tie evening supporting Dancers Against Cancer (DAC), Moore was awarded Live Performance Choreographer of the Year, presented by actor Skylar Astin. She describes the award as “an honor.”
Moore, who is also known for her choreography on La La Land and Silver Linings Playbook, tells PEOPLE that working with Swift on The Eras Tour was one of the “really big tentpole moments” in her life.
She’s also proud of her work on “The Fate of Ophelia” music video, which released on Sunday, Oct. 5 — though it was first available for viewing Friday, Oct. 3 as part of the movie theater release party event for Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl. Surprisingly, Moore says that the creation process behind the video was nothing out of the norm.
“I mean, funny enough, it’s not anything the out of the ordinary,” she shares. “You get a creative, you talk about it, I start to choreograph, then I talk to her, and then we do a lot of rehearsing. She’s someone who really shows up and is so not afraid to put in work. So we just rehearse and rehearse and rehearse and rehearse and then we shoot.”

The experience was “wonderful.”
“Every camp has their different way of doing things, but we were given a lot of really great rehearsal time and we had the sets and all the things that we needed to be really good at our jobs,” Moore says. “So it was a really wonderful experience.”

Kelce previously hinted that a band rather than a DJ will keep his and Swift’s friends and family members dancing at their wedding.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, shared a rare look into his wedding planning thoughts on the Wednesday, Sept. 17, episode of his and brother Jason’s New Heights podcast. “I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?” he said of himself and his pop star fiancée.
