Jennifer Lawrence and costar Robert Pattinson had some interesting moments while filming their new movie Die My Love.
During an appearance on the Friday, Oct. 17 episode of The Graham Norton Show, Lawrence, 35, revealed that she and Pattinson, 39, “didn’t really know each other” before shooting the upcoming thriller. But that didn’t last for long.
“Lynne Ramsay the director challenged us during rehearsals – Robert [Pattinson] and I had to do interpretative dance lessons together,” the Hunger Games star recalled about preparing for the role.
“We both embarrass quite easily, and we didn’t really know each other, so it was totally humiliating,” she added. “Then on the first day of filming, she asked whether we remembered what we did and asked if we would do it naked!” Lawrence added jokingly, as her fellow guests — including Bruce Springsteen and Tessa Thompson — questioned her about it.
“Should I have said no? You all seem quite shocked,” she continued.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Oscar winner explained how her role as Grace alongside Pattinson’s Jackson came about in the psychological drama, which is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel about a new mother who develops postpartum depression and enters psychosis.
“Martin Scorsese brought this to us after he had read the book at his book club, which is adorable. He said I should play the character,” she revealed. “When I read the book, I had a hard time imagining it as a movie, but I wasn’t going to correct Marty!”
The film — which received a nine-minute standing ovation following its premiere at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May, per Deadline — follows Lawrence’s character Grace, a writer and young mother, who is “slowly slipping into madness,” per a synopsis.
“Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson [Pattinson], increasingly worried and helpless,” the description adds.
The movie marks Lawrence’s first since her raunchy 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings, and puts her back in the awards conversation after her last Oscar nomination in 2016 for Joy. She won the Best Actress Oscar in 2013 for Silver Linings Playbook.
Lawrence’s Graham Norton Show comments weren’t the first time the dancing in the movie has been brought up by the actors.

While taking part in a video interview with GQ published in March alongside his Mickey 17 director Bong Joon Ho, Pattinson expressed some level of dismay for having to dance for the cameras while acting.
“I did this movie with Lynne Ramsay and she’s a really good dancer, and Jennifer Lawrence, really good dancer,” he said of filming Die My Love. “They just find it so easy, and they’re like ‘Just dance, it’s just music playing, just dance.’ ”
“I’m like… ‘I’m telling you, I’m going to have a mental breakdown when this happens. We need to either choreograph it or cut it,’ and they’re like ‘Just dance, stop being a freak!’ ”
Die My Love, which was a Palme d’Or competitor at Cannes, was acquired by Mubi. It will be in theaters Nov. 7.
