Cardi B is detailing the benefits of using formula as she prepares to welcome her fourth baby.
The Grammy Award winner, 33, has joined Bobbie, an organic infant formula company, as its Chief Confidence Officer, to empower confidence in feeding choices, raise awareness about infant formula quality, and advocate for parental rights in the U.S. through the “The B is for Bobbie” campaign.
“Breastfeeding also takes a lot of time and some women gotta go straight to work to feed their families and take care of their kids and s—,” the rapper said during a livestream on X Spaces on Thursday, Oct. 16, a rep for Bobbie tells PEOPLE.

‘They can’t spend time just sitting down,” she continued. “Pumping takes literally your whole f—— day. Pumping is not something easy to do. There’s women that gotta go to work. There’s women that, they just have to depend on the formula.”
Cardi announced on Sept. 17 that she is expecting baby number four, her first with her NFL player boyfriend Stefon Diggs. The Am I the Drama? rapper is also mom to daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 7, son Wave Set Cephus, 4, and daughter Blossom, whom she shares with her estranged husband Offset.
Speaking on her partnership with Bobbie, the Grammy winner saluted the brand for “fighting every other week at the White House.”
“On top of that, Bobbie is always fighting for better care for Black and Brown women,” said the soon-to-be mom of four.
Bobbie is the first baby brand Cardi has ever partnered with. In an interview with Vogue published on Wednesday, Oct. 15, she explained how she has struggled with breastfeeding in the past and that it took two hours to produce two ounces of milk.
“It almost made me feel like ‘does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?’ ” she told the publication. “I don’t think people understand how frustrating it is.”
She added that mothers should focus on making sure their babies get the proper nutrients instead of worrying about where the nutrients come from.

“You’re not a bad mom for giving your baby formula. You know what’s bad? Not feeding your kid,” she said.
