Kim Kardashian is speaking candidly about co-parenting with her ex-husband Kanye West.
During an appearance on the Wednesday, Oct. 15 episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the SKIMS mogul, 44, claimed it had been “a couple of months” since she and their four children had heard from West, 48.
West’s rep didn’t immediately respond when contacted by PEOPLE for comment.
The former couple — whose divorce was finalized in November 2022 after she first filed in early 2021 following their May 2014 wedding — share kids North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.
“Whenever he’ll call for them and ask, it’s probably been a couple months since we’ve heard from him,” Kardashian said when asked the last time West saw the kids during her interview with Cooper.

“They always knew that he had a big life traveling before and was always on tour and all of that,” the reality star responded when questioned how she handles any disappointment from the children, “and that he lives in different countries all the time and loves to live all over the place. So, you know, we manage it really well.”
“They love their life and their routine and their schedule. And I think just [my] job as their mom is just to make sure that they stick to their routine and they’re healthy and happy and, you know, look, it’s not easy no matter what, co-parenting with anyone,” Kardashian insisted.

The comments came after she told host Cooper, 31, that the kids live with her full time, saying when asked what co-parenting with West is like, “It’s not easy. But, I mean, I raise the kids, you know, full time. They live with me, and I welcome a great, healthy relationship with my kids and their dad.”
“I think, you know, he knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that. And it goes in waves and phases, and it’s a lot of work,” Kardashian admitted.
She said she had “the best memories” and “the best relationship” with her dad, the late Robert Kardashian Sr. He and Kris Jenner finalized their divorce in 1991, but remained friends until his death from esophageal cancer in September 2003.
“I just welcome healthy relationships, but it’s not easy,” Kardashian told Cooper while openly discussing co-parenting with West, who revealed he’d been diagnosed with bipolar disorder with the release of his 2018 album Ye.
The businesswoman also denied the “narrative” that she’s stopped West from seeing the kids in the past or “kidnapped” them, despite previous tweets from the rapper suggesting that might be the case.
“I’ve never once [kept them] away from him. I’ve never once done that,” she insisted, adding that there have been times where she’s woken up and there’s been “all these tweets” about how she’s “kidnapped the kids.”
“I’m like, it’s not a kidnapping. It’s a divorce,” she said.
Kardashian added, “My mom would always say, ‘You gotta give it like five years of being divorced before everything like really comes together and everyone can like coexist and like be friends. But it’s not gonna be like that for the first few years.'”

She pointed out that “if there’s a time where it’s just really super unhealthy” for the kids to see their dad, she will say something like “Hey, let’s do it here at my house, or let’s figure out a different time.”
“But actually, when he is like that, he doesn’t really wanna see the kids a lot,” according to Kardashian, insisting she’s sent the kids to places like Saudi Arabia, Italy and Japan, adding, “All over the world every time he asks. I’ve never once denied it.”
