“But no one expected him to come back to Westside like this — least of all Amy (Molly Parker),” they said.
Scott’s return to Doc will mark his first role since he filed for divorce from Kelley in June.
“After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley,” he said in a statement previously obtained by PEOPLE. “Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”

The pair, who tied the knot in 2004, share three children: Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.
Scott was awarded temporary sole custody of the three kids in August. That same month, Kelley was arrested and charged with three misdemeanors related to the separation. It was revealed in late September that Kelley entered a mental health treatment facility in Utah.
