Taylor Swift is in her resting era!
During an interview with BBC Radio 1 interview on Friday, Oct. 3, the pop megastar opened up about her new album The Life of a Showgirl and reflected on the impact of the Eras Tour.
“For me it feels like such an honor that the fans made it into what it was, because it was truly astonishing for all of us who were on that tour. We were like, what is going on? It turned into something very quickly that we, that exceeded any of our expectations for what the tour could have been,” said Swift, 35.

The “Opalite” singer then noted that she appreciated the Eras Tour in the moment.
“I knew it was crazy what was happening. We have never had anything happen like that. I’ve been with my band for a very long time. My tour, my crew, my touring family, my team…we’re all very close and have been forever and none of us have ever had anything like that happen,” said Swift.
When host Greg James asked if she had the “itch” to do a tour anytime soon, Swift said “no.”
“I’m gonna be really honest with you. Like, I am so tired when I think about doing it again because I would want to do it really, really well again,” she added.
During the conversation, Swift also noted how content she was at the moment.
“I’m so good right now,” she said. “My joints are good.”
Swift said she had time for hobbies again post-Eras Tour, too.
“I could only do the Eras Tour when I was on the Eras Tour and that’s two years of having no other hobbies. And now I have the hobbies again…and making it everybody’s problem,” she said, referring to sourdough she gave James, 39.
Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023 in Glendale, Ariz. and wrapped in December 2024 in Vancouver, B.C. During its run, she performed 149 shows in dozens of cities across five continents.
Per the New York Times, the Eras Tour sold a total of $2,077,618,725 in tickets, with the publication stating that’s “double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history,” citing the singer’s production company, Taylor Swift Touring.

According to the company, 10,168,008 people had attended the concerts, per the outlet. Coldplay comes in second to Swift after they reportedly nabbed $1 billion in ticket sales for their 156-date Music of the Spheres World Tour, which kicked off in March 2022 and runs through Sept. 2025, per the Times.
Swift’s 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl is out now.
