Cardi B’s tattoo is the main character.
The “WAP” rapper put her ink on full display while posing for a photo to promote her forthcoming studio album, Am I the Problem?, as seen in a recent post shared to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
In one of the shots, Cardi is leaning back on a white couch wearing a black, skintight vinyl thong bodysuit. She posed with her legs up on the cushion, showing off her enormous thigh tattoo on the left side of her body.

The ink is a floral design in various shades of reds, greens and oranges. In addition to the giant flowers permanently marked on her upper thigh and back end, the 32-year-old hitmaker also has a tattoo of a hummingbird amid the florets.
As for her footwear, Cardi B wore one-of-a-kind shoes designed by Thom Solo. The custom boots, reportedly worth at least $1,500, per the New York Post’s Page Six, are crafted from snakeskin-embossed leather with six-inch platform heels.
The artist, who rocked a black-and-yellow updo for the photo shoot, held the alternate cover for her second studio album, which drops on Sept. 19. The design features the singer’s face over a yellow background with red type that reads the record’s name.
“Say hello to the last variant standing. The MAGNET edition cover and box set of AM I THE DRAMA? is out now!!” she captioned the post.

In another photo, Cardi struck a pose in her thong bodysuit and showed off her backside (massive peacock tattoo, and all) while standing alongside her album’s latest cover and corresponding box set. She stood in her towering thigh-high boots and crossed her arms for the shot.
Cardi has transparently opened up about her eye-catching ink in the past, revealing the time and details — and pain — that went into the tattooing process. In 2020, she shared an update on Instagram.
“So after ten years I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover. This whole week I been takin hours of pain getting tatted 😩😂,” she captioned a before-and-after photo of her thigh art, and thanked artist Jamie Schene for his work.

Cardi’s body art is significantly brighter and more colorful thanks to Schene’s additional touch-ups to her decade-old tattoo, which included a whimsical hot pink butterfly, several new peacock feathers and flowers, among other eccentric details.
According to Schene, who also shared the same photo to his Instagram, the artist worked on the tattoo for “seven days in a row,” which he said is “no joke” of an experience.
