NEED TO KNOW
The Amazing Spider-Man is slinging webs on Netflix — the 2012 action blockbuster starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone is now available on the streaming platform.
The comic book movie told the classic origin story of high schooler Peter Parker (Garfield), who, thanks to being bitten by a radioactive spider, turns into the masked vigilante.
Since its release 13 years ago in July 2012, a lot has happened in the world of superhero movies, including a new Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland.
After 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Garfield reprised his role in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, but what else has the Oscar-nominated actor been up to since swinging above the New York City streets?
In honor of the movie hitting Netflix, here’s where the cast of 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man is now.

Since suiting up in The Amazing Spider-Man, Garfield has starred in movies like Silence, Under the Silver Lake, The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Hacksaw Ridge and Tick, Tick… Boom! — the latter two performances earned him Oscar nominations for Best Actor.
In 2017, he landed the role of Prior Walter in the epic Angels in America on Broadway, and in 2022, he starred in the Hulu limited series Under the Banner of Heaven.
Garfield dated his Amazing Spider-Man costar Stone after the two met on the movie set. The couple eventually split in 2015, and Garfield is now dating actress Monica Barbaro.
